Landscape Rretaining Wall Stones

With the many choices in shape, size, color, and texture of retaining wall building blocks today, retaining walls no longer serve as soil reinforcement alone. They are now becoming an important piece of landscaping architecture. Landscape retaining wall stones are adding beauty and grandeur to a landscape design. They do not just blend in; they are making the landscape design standout.

The choices for landscape retaining wall stones are many. Flagstones, curb stones, stone faux pas, and even natural stones can be used to construct a stone retaining wall. Faux stones that are made of molded concrete are used to adorn landscaping designs. These retaining wall building material are the favorite among 'do-it-yourselfers' because of its lip lock system. There's no need to use mortar because the system allows the weight of the soil to lock the faux stones in place.

Soil is then filled behind the stones to hold them and give the wall integrity. Mortars can also be used to hold the stones together, but the weight of the large stones itself can hold a considerable volume of soil already.
